Summary Ü eBook, ePUB or Kindle PDF ☆ Kevin Rau New Markets HERO #2 Summary Ú 108 Following immediately after the events in HERO Metamorphosis Lance Stephanie and Rael continue learning and developing their powers A kidnapping leads them to become involved in the discovery of a new black market involving the capture and sale of supers Other heroes become involved as This second book of the HERO Homeland Extraordinary Response Organization franchise carries on with the character development of the 3 characters we met in the first book and most of the tale is told from their point of view One thing I very much like is how the point of view will switch like from Lance to Stephanie and Kevin doesn t just jump he actually tells us which point of view this is This makes the storyline much easier to follow The new market involved here is someone taking advantage of new supers and running a very highly paid and organized slave trade It includes highly efficient mercenary teams drugged supers and brainwashing There is also betrayal involved And to add to the complications our 3 main characters are still trying to keep some kind of a normal life together In this book the seeds for what could turn into a very nasty vulnerability for one character are planted We also get to meet 2 established heroes and a couple newbies Kevin does an excellent job of keeping a very populated world organized enough for us to follow while including some very human foibles on the parts of the heroes and the regular folks If you still maybe secretly love your comic books you will really enjoy this series While remaining true to the comic book origins we get to see characters actually learn how to use their new powers with a few missteps along the way and character development
